Good Morning All! Happy Wednesday! I want to be a help to you. If you read this, share this, and I am open to enter dialogue with you about this! Check it out and read it twice before you comment!
Subtle and Innocuous Deceptions...
People with gift, talent, ability, charisma, personality and the "juice" should remember:
1. The greatest deception is to believe your own press. While you "are" you may not be all that you think you "are"! Humility...
2. The saddest deception is to believe you are being held back! Most leaders see beyond the "tent" of your shine and know that there needs to be some deep development. Character is who you are... Integrity...
3. The highest deception is to believe you don't need "nobody' of that the "bodies" you need are the ones in your ear (Reference Rehoboam). The fact is, we need people to give us honest assessment and feedback... the kind that helps us to value life in bloom over life in boom (you'll get that next week)! Likes, viral, lights, action, camera... can ruin what hasn't risen. Sobriety...
4. The hardest deception is that you are the "gift" to the group rather than the group being a "gift to you! Life in community is better than life in confinement. Let to yourself... you might be in dangerous waters. See people for the enhancements that they bring to life in collaboration and partnership! Camaraderie...
5. The deepest deception is: I am like this because I am hurt/hurting. I fell of my bike and skinned my hands and knees. My parents and siblings looked. I had to get up, get home and then my parents bandaged me up and said "... go out and play... ride some more..." The best lesson EVER!!! I have a scar on my left index finger from a "neighborhood" competition trying to hold a wheel on and my skin was removed to the "white meat"... My dad, whom we affectionately called "Pop" bandaged me up and congratulated me for the win. That said: hurt is analyzed by what you do with it. If you learn from it... its a lesson. If you grow from it... its a season. If you inspire others because of your survival... its ministry. If you are still saying your hurting... its your handicap! Equilibrium...
6. The craziest deception is: everybody is jealous and envious of you. Are there cases that could be documented... of course. I am sure there may be people from every category (family, friends, neighbors, church, work...) but... in real time... you can't assess an isolated incident and give it prominence or preeminence in the life cycle of your narrative. We don't live at the nexus of infinitives or the precipice of margins... Reread number one. Romans 12:3! Reality...
7. The toughest deception is: I know what I am doing! We are evolving creatures. Evolve from its etymological roots is Latin and it means to unroll. We are all unrolling and becoming. We only know in part. Part knowledge, part passion, part faith, part hope... parts... Maybe we should say I am learning and growing so that in learning and growing I am doing! The humility of the last sentence is the rhythm and frequency of healthy life! Live...
What Should You Get From This:
1. Live enough to keep living.
2. Perfection is a fallacy! Growth is possible.
3. Humility is the real power. Arrogance, pride, self-absorption... are all killers.
4. Be... Do... Become... repeat.
5. Knowledge and wisdom are most important.
6. Live in grounded reality and not idealistic fantasy!
7. Loud is not always good. Quiet is not always bad. Know the difference!
Go be BIG!
