I love people, genuinely, and want the best for everyone. I desire to make an impact on this world by being the change I want to see as well as helping others be the change they want to see. Being from the Washington, D.C. area, I was exposed to various cultures and people at all socioeconomic statuses, which was a huge blessing in de

veloping my non-judgmental sense of understanding, tolerance and empathy for others. I discovered early on in life that two of my greatest talents were writing, speaking and service to others. After earning my B.S. in Journalism & Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and years of serving my college and its surrounding community at North Carolina A&T State University, I moved to New Orleans to teach ninth grade Algebra at a first-year school as a member of Teach for America. This is when my love for New Orleans and teenagers solidified. When I moved from New Orleans to Atlanta to start my PR career, I continued to work with teenagers through programs such as Project R.E.A.D.Y., Sister 2 Sister and church youth programs. My professional public relations career exposed me to industries like interior design, architecture, home building products, construction, mobile technology, financial technology, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). However, my heart has always been one of service to people and our communities with a goal of improving our quality of life. So how is this translating into my daily life? I'm catering to all the things that interest me and are aligned to my talents. As a lifelong swimmer and former competitive collegiate swimmer, I am providing swim lessons to minorities. I am helping people declutter and organize their homes in an effort to bring tranquility to the space. I am speaking to and mentoring teenagers, serving as the non-judgmental "big sister" with their overall well-being and development at the forefront of my heart and intentions. Why am I doing all of this? I have come to accept myself as a multipotentialite. Listen to the video (or use my girlfriend Google) to learn what exactly that is. The only difference here is that I know my "one true calling," which is serving humanity. There are countless ways to do this and I am making a living out of it. This makes every day different and fulfilling for me and, hopefully, those I am helping. This same "serving humanity" mindset is instilled into my blog. Topics will vary...so will the tone...but the heart is forever coming from a place of love and a desire for a better life for everyone. Whether that comes in the form of providing tidying tips for your homes or living in your greatness or police reform ideas, it is all rooted in love and growth. The content from this wild 'n crazy mind of mine was thought worthy enough to share...if I do say so myself, and I do say so myself ;-)

I love meeting, speaking and exchanging ideas with people, so feel free to reach out. As long as you aren't "virtually catcalling," I am always up for conversation! Let's chat. I end just about every blog with "Yall be great." I have written a blog on what "great" looks like, in my opinion. So with that...

Yall be great. xoxo,

Jas

A little for your TL. circa 1996-2006 and swimming circa 2009. , hold it down ✊🏽

Also, put your babies in swim lessons before they can develop a fear of water.

Finally, put yourself in swim lessons. KNOW - for sure - enough to 1) save yourself and 2) save your kids. The lifeguard is the second person responsible for your child’s life. YOU are the first. @ @ the pool

We all will leave a legacy that is determined by our daily emotional choices. The emotional and spiritual legacy with which you choose to endow the following generations is more important than the finances, houses or lands that you leave. That’s why so many of us are harnessing our own intangible, internal “generational curses.” Tap in to those emotions and your spiritual connection with God. And sing the song of your victory. That’s your witness. My PR motto is, “Do good stuff and tell people about it.” Well here, it would be, “God’s done great for you. Tell people about it.” You betta sang.

Four urgent lessons for modern from the book of Amos:

1- The foundation for society rests on justice between people
2- implies responsibility
3- Failure to accept one's responsibility brings judgment
4- Nations & individuals must live up to the light they’ve received

We all have varying levels of privilege in some form; some more than others. It is our duty to “live up to the light” of that privilege and leverage that for others’ good. said, “If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.” Look for that opportunity EVERYWHERE. “Lift...as you climb.” I will never forget you . @ Atlanta, Georgia

If God isn’t rewarding half-hearted pursuits, then why are you? Time, intention and effort get the results you are dreaming about in life, love and/or work. Don’t get discouraged by one hiccup and run. Stay present and persevere. Your future dreams will never been your present life if you don’t actually show up and put forth effort in the here and now. You’ll always be chasing what is next. You’ll never be satisfied or fulfilled. And, the worst outcome IMO, you’ll miss the blessings in front of your face. So be present and commit in the now to create the future you dream of (but are somewhat scared of). SHOW UP. This applies to your relationship with God, yourself, loved ones, “could-be loved ones”... shoot... professional goals, gardening, saving money, building literally anything. Don’t run. SHOW UP. Every day. @ Atlanta, Georgia

I took the viacharacter.org personality test as a part of a department-wide activity a couple weeks ago and guess what my #1 strength was? The strength that is “most representative of the ‘real me’... core to who you I am and come naturally to me.”

LOVE.

Admittedly, I thought, “Well duh...but dang...this is the catch 22 of my life.” 😅 Choosing love over fear and not running away from it is one of my favorite characteristic about myself... but, man, does it HURT sometimes. Resilience and faith are key in the bounce back.

Now...😁...who can put the top 5 in order? If you get it right, maybe I’ll share a photo with a memory of us 😅 Being a Scorpio, I’m fully prepared for no one to get this right 🤣 @ Atlanta, Georgia

And the way the pieces keep coming together, complementing the ones before it...I just have to stop and say THANK YOU 🙏🏽 What are three things you are profoundly grateful for today? If they involve another human, after acknowledging your appreciation internally, pick up the phone and CALL that human to share your gratitude. Gratitude is like a candlelight. It can be spread to many...all starting from one source. 🕯

You make time for what’s important to you. God, yourself, life partners, family, friends, the community, work. All relationships take effort, including your relationship with God. The difference is He never leaves 🙏🏽

My good sis so perfectly stated, “Anything I’ve ever created, I created for the culture.” We’ve seen this in each other. We’ve worked together . To quote, the incomparable , “I come as one, but stand as 10,000.” Now watch us work.
