Marketing isn't just about how many people see you. It's about whether the right people see you.

For a local business, an audience filled with homeowners, neighbors, customers and community members in the areas you actually serve is far more valuable than thousands of followers who are unlikely to ever walk through your door or pick up the phone.

Follower count can be a nice metric to watch, but it doesn't tell the whole story.

Pay attention to who you're reaching, where they're located and whether they're actually engaging with your business.

The goal isn't always a bigger audience. It's a more relevant one.

Such a cool way to support the OV Community!

What should an Ocean View license plate look like?

Ocean View is getting its very own Virginia specialty license plate, and the community gets to help design it!

Residents, students and local artists are invited to submit ideas for a plate that captures what makes Ocean View, well... Ocean View.

Think beaches, history, neighborhood landmarks, OV personality or something completely unexpected. We want to see what you come up with.

Submissions are open through September 15. Scan the QR code for details and to submit your design.
