after several weeks of drawing, I finally finished this pet project - a non traditional repeating pattern drawn in procreate. it’s even got a bit of a spooky theme to it 👻

I finally figured out how to adjust the pressure + smoothing controls on procreate. plus I played around with some new brushes. cute, right?🍒

oh man I haven’t posted in over a month the algorithm is gonna hate me . . I promise I have been making art though! just not all of it on the iPad. christmas is coming up and you know I like to make homemade gifts for as many of the people on my list as I can. plus I am back in school for my 2nd semester in the graphic design program at TCC. I am learning typography and motion graphics in adobe after effects this semester. also I’m taking a saturday class to improve my drawing skills. although I’ll always be partial to sketching out trippy cartoons :p

my most recent project: tattoo design! i even made a lil flash sheet tehe. this project came at the commission of my lovely friend Madisyn Rutherford who wanted a fine line tattoo tribute to her fire sign nature (my astrology fans out there will get it). these are the results !!

madisyn has already reserved her design, but i will be making the other three designs available for sale at the low price of only $25! get a piece of flash unique to you + support an artist all at the same time. pls do not steal my art:) yes i take venmo.

good morning wavy fam! I am already up and at the arts this morning because I’ve been so stoked to finish the first installation of my new series - grace’s friends on roller skates! i will be drawing several of my friends (in cartoon form of course) on roller skates, for fun and to practice drawing people. keep an eye out and you just might see yourself featured!🛼

this 4/20, I’d like to take the time to recognize that women are important in the cannabis industry too! we may like our pink glass and cute stoner artwork (like this reboot of my earlier rendition of anja the g***a leaf), but there are some women out there fighting for real change in cannabis rights legislation! I’m only going to highlight a few here:

🍁Valerie Corral (CA) - founder of Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Ma*****na, coauthor of CA prop 215 (1996) legalizing medical ma*****na

🍁Alison Holcomb (WA) - cosponsor of WA Initiative 502 for legalization

🍁Sabria Still (DC) - entrepreneur, human rights advocate and product specialist at Metropolitan Wellness Center, a cannabis dispensary in Washington, D.C.

🍁Larisa Bolivar (CO) - executive director of the Cannabis Consumer Coalition, consumer activist, and leader in cannabis social justice and patient and caregiver rights for 2 decades

these are just a few of the amazing women leading the way in making cannabis accessible for all. ladies, tag ur stoner bestie! let’s be the next generation of female activists💪

In my two-dimensional design class we’re learning about famous artists of the Pop Art movement, which inspired me to re-make Roy Lichtenstein’s iconic Girl With Ball in my own style - like if Girl With Ball was having a fun trippy beach day eating paper with her friends. Not gonna lie I just wanted to use the dot effect pen on Procreate🖌✨

man I have so many best buds it’s hard to pick just one - gonna shout out both LeeAnne Dean and Breann Sictor for probably being my future bridesmaids though. also I’m lucky enough to have two built-in best friends in my sisters Riley and Kelly💗 aren’t good friends just the greatest? tag ya best friend! (or 2, or more!)
