Amazon is the BIGGEST advertiser on 🌎

They spent over $18 million in 2019

Heading into the 4th Quarter of 2020... over $96 billion in sales.
I'd bet that they spend more than $18 million this year in advertising and honestly, they may have already passed it

Their customer loyalty is off the chain. I first heard about Amazon in 2012. I was at physical therapy, I wanted to sell my therapist on why she should be using my cash back website where she could still shop with the major brands.

I got back REAL cash back from places like Walmart and other big brands. I ended up making around $1k in cash back that they sent me on a credit card.
▪️
I didn't have a job and that money came in handy plenty of times. Even found ways to double and triple dip to get more cash back even faster.

So I always lead with proof. I'm showing my therapist that I got the money back and she just wasn't having it. She loved the way Amazon worked back then. I soon realized that most people on Amazon felt that way. That's true customer loyalty. That's the holy grail!

Amazon's email marketing and rating & reviews are a testament to their operational excellence. They're a finely tuned machine that consistenlty pushing the possiblity of what's possible to maintain that loyalty.

How can you apply these principles to your business?

Success leaves clues...None of this is possible if people don't know you exist

The Snuggie wasn’t the first blanket with sleeves, but it was more successful than the "Slankets" that came before it.
The biggest reason… They decided to make an entertaining video demonstrating the experience, kept their audience in mind and put money behind it in the form of paid advertising.
Up until that point, other blankets with sleeves just sat in the back of catalogs and on the shelves with minimal sales.
Kinda no different from how most people run their business

Hey! My name is Jeraud Norman, CEO of Jeraud Marketing. We Turn Strangers...Into Customers using paid social media advertisements.
My story goes a little something like this....
I’m a devoted father & husband from Virginia Beach, VA. I went to the Newport News Apprentice School in 2003 at the age of 20. Graduated at the top of my class in 2007 where I went on to become a Nuclear Propulsion Plant Supervisor aboard multiple nuclear air craft carriers. My career was trending up!
In May of 2012, I was taking my son Joseph, who was 2-years old at the time, to school before I went to the yard. Before I could get him to school, I was hit by an 18 wheeler truck that was coming off the highway and pulled into our lane. On impact, the truck lifted the entire passenger side of our truck, but didn’t flip us over. Once our truck slammed back down, Joseph was ok, which is most important, but I myself sustained a few injuries that would eventually lead to me require multiple surgeries. Multiple surgeries put my job in jeopardy, because I was unfit to work, so I eventually lost my house in foreclosure, accumulated mounds of debt...charged off accounts, you name it. As someone who grew up working with their hands, or physical labor in general, it was time for a change. I was unable to effectively do this type of work anymore without putting my health at further risk. To be honest, I was already looking to transition out of this kind of work.
Fast forward, years later I was introduced to the world of internet marketing. After diving head first into learning sales, I realized that it’s very difficult to give something away for free. What intrigued me most about marketing online was that it was much easier to find the ideal people that are most likely to buy your product or service. One of my mentors said, “why chase and hound everyone with your product or services? Why not find the people that are already looking for you?” It made so much sense.
A huge turning moment for me was when I was leaving a conference in Las Vegas, On the way home, I pulled out my notes and started plotting and planning for when I got back home to Virginia Beach. Midway through the flight, the lady to my left said “Oh...you were at the conference too! My name is ____ do you remember seeing me on the stage?” I didn’t remember. Then she said “yea, I was on stage when they introduced the Sales Directors. I make over $20k per month all online.” The entire time, I was hoping to strike up a conversation with anyone to offer them my free product, I was still new to the sales game...Her and I sold the very same thing, but to her, she didn’t care to even speak about it. She let her marketing online do all the talking for her. That’s when I decided to go all in on using the power of the internet to get in front of people that are already looking for what I already have.
I realized that I enjoyed this process and wanted to help other business owners get in front of the people that will purchase their product & services. By helping local businesses, I would be able to help other business owners on their journey. More money means more choices for our families. Helping them meant that I could help change lives.
4 years later, I’m the CEO of my very own marketing company. Social Media Marketing is one of the most lucrative forms of marketing in the world, but it’s only if you do it right. The average person spends 3-5 hours per day on social media. No matter what you do, we’re selling to people, so why not meet them where they’re already at?
