Coast Guard/Maritime Family chime in. First , I’m praying with the families of this incident that recently took place in Baltimore. This case is interesting. CNN reported the vessel was going 8knots, which is fairly fast for a boat that size in that body of water. I just spoke to a Boat Pilot here in Virginia Beach, when he Pilots a vessel in that area he’s doing no more than 5 knots(mph). It looks like the Vessel lost power. The minute they lost power, the engines should come to all stop and immediately into Full Reverse to slow your momentum and or come to a full stop. At that point, emergency anchor proceedures should fall in place. Maryland and Virginia Pilots are the Best in the world. I pray DHS, (Department of Homeland Security) goes in depth in this investigation. This is not suppose to happen.
