My advice to musicians :

- don’t do l4l, or sub4sub. After the call to action, there is no follow up. Meaning they may listen to your song one time (if that).
*Instead start building a mailing list. These are people that want your product.

- Don’t do marketing in music groups. Musicians are not your demographic. Insurance agents are not trying to sell other agents insurance. This is not an effective way to market yourself.
*Instead build a group or music page you can refer your fans to.

- Don’t rush your product, and don’t rely on social media. You want your brand to be the best. Plan it out.
*Instead have a goal. I want to gain 2 new followers today, or I want to convert 3 followers into fans.

Don’t cheapen your brand. By that I mean, everyone has a homie that can do something “cheaper”. If they can’t do industry standard quality then you’re hurting your brand.
*Instead treat everything as an investment. If your not seeing a return on your investment, you may be using the wrong team.

Quit letting these people lie to you. There are a lot of people that have good jobs and pretend they work for theirselves. If they aren’t confident in their business, then they probably won’t represent your correctly. If they haven’t found a way to work for theirselves, how can they help you get to that point.
*Instead surround yourself with mentors that have actually accomplished what you’re trying to accomplish. Align yourself with companies that have the same vision.
