What makes content great?
Here’s the short answer: the right reader leaves satisfied. They got what they came for, from someone who clearly knows the subject, and they don’t have to search again.
That’s not just my opinion anymore. Google now spells it out: real effort, original information, skill, accuracy, and above all, trust.
“Great” used to mean it performed.
Now it means it was worth making.
So here’s a simple test for your next draft. Could a competitor, or an AI, write this without you? If the answer is yes, it might be good. It isn’t great yet.
Great content comes from inputs, not tactics. First-hand experience. Your own data. A real, named author. Facts you’ve actually checked.
And it isn’t about a magic word count, more pages, or tricks for AI search.
It’s not about producing more content. It’s about getting more value from the content you produce.
Ask yourself: would you have made it if search engines didn’t exist?
