"Christine, I've delegated all of these tasks to get more off my plate, but I'm still overwhelmed!"
Delegating is a skill — and growth means learning new ways to lead. Here's are some of the big reasons you may still be feeling some of the stress in your growing business:
🧠 You're still carrying the mental load.
You may have handed off tasks, but your brain is still juggling strategy, decision-making, and all the "what-ifs”. This can be emotionally draining and lead to the same overwhelm that prompted you to delegate in the first place.
👋 You haven't truly let go of the responsibility.
Delegating isn't just assigning tasks — it's trusting someone else to complete them without mistakes and own the outcome. That takes time, and sometimes a major mindset shift.
🔍️ Your processes aren't clear.
If you passed off a task or responsibility to a team member or virtual assistant and they’re constantly circling back with questions, it likely hasn’t been made clear what “done right” looks like. This causes tasks to boomerang right back onto your plate, and that can be draining!
