I’ve had the joy of knowing this beautiful bride for years and have worked alongside her on many fundraising projects over time. So when she came back to me after getting engaged, I was beyond excited for the opportunity to create something deeply personal for her wedding day.
We began with a hand-painted watercolor of The Heights House, which became the foundation for the entire stationery collection. From there, every detail was intentionally designed to reflect who they are as a couple.
Their invitation featured a custom circle die-cut inspired by the venue’s stunning stained glass ceiling, creating a romantic architectural element that felt timeless and unique, along with the hand painted watercolor liner. But what made this wedding truly unforgettable was the way we blended elegance with the couple’s love story and personalities.
As huge music lovers and festival-goers, music naturally became woven throughout the celebration. The bride gifted her husband a vintage hot pink guitar on their wedding day, and that one meaningful detail inspired subtle pops of vibrant pink throughout the entire design story. The groom had no idea why hints of hot pink kept appearing in the proofs! 🤣🤣which made the surprise even sweeter. 🎸
One of my favorite details was tracing the actual guitar to create a completely custom die-cut menu shape, personalized with each guest’s name and paired with a guitar pick meal indicator. We transformed road cases into a playful seating chart installation and designed an acrylic bar menu modeled after the vintage guitar itself.
Every single detail felt thoughtful, personal, and completely them — elegant while still embracing the fun, artistic energy of their relationship. Like their classy checkered color wrap we designed with a beautiful hot pink custom monogram!
And honestly… seeing his reaction when she surprised him with the guitar is a moment they will treasure forever.
This wedding was such a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful designs are the ones that tell a story.
