He was a very accomplished sign painter and his award winning hand lettered work appeared throughout central Connecticut for nearly 70 years until just before his death in 1978. Joseph's son Arnold, along with his wife Barbara, founded his own sign business in 1952, establishing Arnco Sign Company in Meriden, CT. He first fabricated neon and electric signs and ultimately the business moved to the
current location, centrally located in Wallingford, CT and expanded to be a several crane sign installation and service business and became a leader in sign installation and service in CT and surrounding areas. Arnold Cohen's distinguished career in the sign industry lasted over 40 years until his passing in 1993
Arnold's sons, Paul and Marc Cohen have since taken over the operation of Arnco and have continued the growth and expansion of this family run business. That growth currently continues with additional family members and long trusted employees which will ensure that Arnco will continue its high standard in the sign industry for generations to come.
