Eh I got a theory that homeowners want to see a hard working worker talk about the job rather than an office worker or someone who isnt on the job site all day (like a digital marketer).

Anyways here's an absolutely GORGEOUS house in Alamo, Ca. And I admit this job came through word of mouth from roofing partners instead of online lead generation or any digital marketing. Im honored to be able to work here and do my part.

Here's an example of a project walk-through video. As a contractor in any caliber, this type video can earn you jobs as an ad (if your online presence is seo and sem optimized already). Especially if you already have a stream of before and afters, informational videos, and shots of you working on your page- this will act as a hook to your online contractor brand.

Dont worry about likes and comments because a paying customer will rarely like and comment anyway. They will look at this, click on your page, maybe google you, and if everything they see is nice theyll call you for work. Think about when is the last time you liked a video of a contractor that worked on your house. Most likely you wont visit their page ever again after the job is over.

I know businesses that get 10k-50k worth of work off an active page that averages 1-5 likes a post. (Social media of course isnt their only lead generation platform)

There is no way youre starting a business or growing a business while in a vacuum chamber by yourself. Your net worth might rely on your skills/trade but your motivation relys on who you surround yourself with.

Instance 1. Im down n out. Feeling a little blue. Havent hung out with friends in a while. They notice and call me out on my bs. Aaron you were literally so locked in last year, what happened? Took one look and said i have no clue but I know exactly whats about to happen, ima lock tf back in! Ego rockin, dreams are poppin, and theres results to pull in baby!

Instance 2. Im totally glazing a senior sales guy and this new company i got an opportunity at. Hes talking about his network and how hes giving opportunities to his son in law. And my friend looks at me and was like OK why dont you do that, aaron? HES DAMN RIGHT! I literally have the skills to be the same person. Next time I see him, im going to be looking at my future self. 💪🏾💪🏾

So ultimately that business owner scratched his entire marketing playbook and went back to what worked for him 30 years ago. Door knocking and event sponsoring... going to check in on him in a year to see if I can help make changes.

Crazy part is some cities here in california offer help for small businesses that apply to their workshops. Guess what kind of help? Yep, you guessed SOCIAL MEDIA, ONLINE ADS and AI integration. Hopefully a new guy doesn't dog him out of the market before I can convince him to work with me 😔😆🤷🏾

This actually goes both ways.. let me explain.

If I give out good energy and talk to people as humans first (cold calling businesses) instead of another sale number, a conversation opens up. Sometimes we talk about being swamped at work, sometimes they vent to me about something happening in the moment, sometimes they cut to the chase and give me a shot at my pitch. But from there trust starts to form and people open up to what im offering.

Now if I run into too many negative energy business owners, its very easy to pass that same energy into the next call. Once you absorb the negativity, no one will want to talk no matter what you say and you cant help anyone (not even myself) at that point.
