Looks like the Redskins are officially on the warpath. 😎

The first Wapakoneta yard sign got a pretty great response, so I decided to give it a little company.

I just finished this new “Redskins on the Warpath!” design, and I think this one has a little more attitude. 😆

For now, I’m offering these two Wapakoneta spirit yard sign designs:

18×24, single-sided with H-stake — $29.99 each

Pick your favorite and show some Redskins pride this season.

Sometimes the best projects are the ones where a customer gives me the goal—and trusts me to figure out the rest.

Vorhees McDonald’s needed updated hours signage for four locations and their current supplier couldn’t meet the deadline. They came to me, gave me the freedom to redesign the look, and I created a unique version for each store while keeping everything consistent with their brand. Stacy told me everyone loved the new designs, and the window clings will be going up next week.

Spencerville Schools is a completely different kind of project, but the trust is very similar. This is the third athletic program I’ve built for them, and I manage nearly every part of the publication—from the overall concept, theme and artwork to page layouts, organization, copy development, production and final quality control. They provide the school information, photos, rosters and other source material, then work with me through review and final approval.

This fall’s program may be my favorite one yet. I even worked a little America 250 pride into the cover artwork as an Easter egg.

Two very different projects. Both built around the same thing—figuring out what the customer needs and making it happen.

Sometimes you take a chance because you already know the customer well enough to trust your gut.

Anna Mary came to me with the wording for a 5×7 prayer postcard for Mt. Tabor and Salem churches. They wanted to keep it very simple—plain black and white, no graphics—and they weren’t looking to pay for additional design work.

I understood. Churches have budgets, and they were trying to keep the cost down.

But after looking at what they planned to hand out, I just couldn’t see myself printing it exactly that way.

I had designed business cards for both churches last year, so I already knew Anna Mary and had a good feel for what they liked. I decided to take a chance and donated the design time to create something I felt they would be proud to share.

I kept all of their wording, but gave it a cleaner layout, a soft sky background, and just enough detail to make it feel finished without becoming distracting.

After I had already completed the design, I called Anna Mary and explained what I had done. I told her I hoped she wouldn’t be upset that I had taken the liberty, but I truly believed the message deserved something more polished.

Thankfully, my gut was right.

She loved the finished postcards and told me how much she appreciates the work I do.

Sometimes a customer asks for exactly what their budget allows. And sometimes, when the relationship and the project feel right, I’m willing to do a little more because I want them to have something they’re genuinely proud to hand to someone else.

Thank you, Anna Mary, for continuing to trust MaXXposure Direct.

Thursday evening, I received a call from my longtime customer Ralph with Freedom Colors.

He already had materials prepared for an event on Saturday, but he wanted something more meaningful to honor the local service members who lost their lives in action.

He sent me the list of names and a photo of the Gold Star banner, then gave me full creative freedom.

I already had a full Friday ahead of me, so I went back to the shop Thursday night and got to work.

Using the banner and the names he provided, I created this 24×36 tribute, printed it on vinyl, and mounted it in one of my street A-frame displays.

After one small requested change, it was ready.

Some projects are about advertising a business.

This one was about making sure these local heroes were remembered with the respect they deserve.

Thank you, Ralph, for trusting me with something this important.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Sometimes the best projects begin with a customer who simply says, “I need business cards.”

That’s exactly how Steve “Hendy” Hendershot walked into MaXXposure Direct.

He brought in his old card, but after talking for a while, it became clear he wasn’t looking for another business card. He was trying to represent two very different parts of his life—his music and Your Jewelry Box—on one small piece of paper.

Instead of jumping into design, we kept talking.

I learned about his favorite guitars, why they meant so much to him, and the pride he has in the historic downtown building that houses his store.

That’s when everything clicked.

Rather than trying to squeeze everything together, we created a two-sided card where each side tells its own story.

The result isn’t just a nicer-looking business card. It’s a business card that actually represents who Hendy is.

Projects like this remind me that the best designs don’t usually start with a computer…

They start with a conversation.

Thank you, Hendy, for trusting MaXXposure Direct with your story.

Sometimes customers know exactly what they want…they just need help bringing it to life.

Ben handed me this sketch and explained the story behind each element. After talking through his operation, we turned that idea into a logo and business card that represents Goettemoeller Farms.

That’s one of my favorite parts of what I do—helping turn an idea into something a business can proudly put their name on.

It was an honor to help John at J. Marie’s bring this meaningful tribute to life inside his restaurant.

John wanted to create a respectful display honoring those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We were proud to design and produce the custom graphics that helped complete his vision.

Thank you, John, for trusting MaXXposure Direct with a project that carries so much meaning.

A little inspiration can go a long way. 🇺🇸

After seeing Ginger at The Siderail decorating downtown with so much American pride, I decided it was time to give my own storefront a patriotic upgrade.

So I designed this flowing mural and installed it around the kick panels at MaXXposure Direct.

Sometimes it’s the little details that make a storefront more inviting, and I’m proud to add a little more American pride to downtown Wapakoneta.

Thank you, Ginger, for the inspiration! ❤️🤍💙

Every small business has a story.

When Charles from CW Jewelry came in, he already had a logo that meant a lot to him because it had been created by a family member. Rather than replacing it, we kept its identity intact and refined it just enough to give it a fresh, cleaner look.

After learning about his business and the people he serves, we created a business card that reflects who he is—friendly, honest, and dedicated to quality craftsmanship.

Thank you, Charles, for trusting MaXXposure Direct. It was a pleasure helping tell your story.
