Want to know why you're not getting more registrants for RCIA? ⬇️
It's not because of people not liking church teaching or the length of the homily or the church down the road has better music.
It's because if you're like most churches, you're only promoting it in the bulletin...which is read exclusively by your most active, already sacramentalized population.

On Good Friday, Catholics around the world will be participating in a day of fasting, eating only one meal and two small snacks in commemoration of Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the Cross. But what if we took our fasting a step further and did what He told us to do – serve others like He served us?

Several years ago, I was thinking about the food I was giving up for Good Friday fasting and how I was probably saving a little money by skipping some meals and snacks. I wanted to donate that money to pay it forward, since it's money I would have normally spent anyway, but I didn't know how much the savings really were or even where I'd donate it.
And so, Fast and Feed was born.
Fast and Feed is a food savings calculator with a charitable twist. On Good Friday, you'll be able to fill out our food calculator of what everything besides your one-meal-and-two-small-meals-that-together-don't-equal-a-full-meal would have been and calculate the amount you're saving by skipping those meals.
Then, you'll have the opportunity to donate that amount (or any amount of your choosing) to a few Catholic charities dedicated to feeding the poor.
Plus, there will be a pray pledge to pray every time your stomach growls on Good Friday.
We're putting the final touches on the calculator, which will be available starting tomorrow, but for now, you can sign up to receive an email reminder on Good Friday when the calculator launches if you're interested in participating. fiveloavesproject.com
