I worked as a waitress, the first female firefighter in the town I grew up in. At times to support my family I worked three jobs fighting fires, substitute teaching, and cocktail waitressing. After being injured in a bad car accident which ended my firefighting career, I went to college for business administration. I then went to work for a doctor and further was certified in medical billing and c
oding. Life happens and I ended up moving my family from Texas to Massachusetts to be closest to my eldest daughter and my first grandchild. I worked managing a clinic of 12 doctors in the hospital. The pay was not the greatest and I had to drive 45 minutes each way to get to and from work. After a few years, I switched gears and went to work for a medical billing software retailer where I was hired to support and train the staff of medical offices on how to use the software they purchased. I enjoyed this position even though I was traveling all over New England until my employer started using my knowledge to send me out for practice consulting. I was making a fraction of what he was charging these medical practices. I decided to start my own medical billing business which would allow me to work from home. This is patient accounting with all that account entails and then some. I was only able to handle the workload of one client which was very profitable till massive changes forced him to be looped into the network and I was left with no client. I then found a position at an adult continuing education facility where I taught all that is associated with medical billing (insurance billing, medical coding, practice management, etc...). I worked there till a doctor I knew reached out and asked me to come work for him as his practice manager and medical biller. Yes, two jobs for the price of one. Well, it was more than what I was earning and I would be able to go back to working from home so I was in. Fast forward...and tired of working 12-hour days and weekends to keep up with very few days off and having no one to cover my work when I was out was taking its toll on my health and my time not to mention my home was becoming my prison. I kept thinking there has to be some other way to work from home with fewer hours and more pay so that I can enjoy my life with my family...especially my grandchildren. Then I found Fullstaq Marketer and Keala Kenae the creator of a full course in marketing that he created after his years of figuring out what works best and making millions in the process. I chose his program which has all I needed plus tutors to guide me through starting my own digital marketing business. It was a struggle at first working my 12-hour-a-day job and taking this course, but it has been so worth it knowing I broke the chains of a low-wage/high-stress/long-hour job.
