Spring Cleaning Semen Clean Out!

We have quite a bit of semen (mostly Angus, but a few Hereford) that have been sitting in our tank for quite a while that we don't have any need for anymore...so we are going to list it here. LIST UPDATED TO REFLECT WHAT HAS BEEN SOLD.

Details: All have been kept in a well-maintained tank since in our possession, but some of it is "vintage" and was inherited. All is sold "as is" and we are happy to discuss any reasonable offer (first come). All is kept at our show barn in Warrenton, VA, tank can be brought to the Virginia Beef Expo in April.

We are happy to answer any questions to the best of our ability.

We sprung into spring early this morning with a new little guy. Momma is a first calf heifer that was overdue and starting to worry us some, but with a little help her baby boy is here and doing well!

It's a girl!

This cow is quickly becoming a favorite around here (at least in Rebecca's opinion).

The next set of AI breds have started calving! This 8 year old 10Y daughter had a C GKB Guardian 1015 bull calf this morning, and it looks like we'll have several more coming soon.

First calf of 2026 decided to make a dramatic entrance...super cold, windy day (at least it was this past Sunday and not the previous one), and one leg back, but thanks to some help from Robby he is here safely!

Yes, he is wearing a calf coat for the moment once the temperature is out of the single digits we'll take it off.

Round 1 of feeding and checking done for the morning....

While they may look cold, we are actually glad to see the coat of ice/snow on top of these girls, it means that their natural insulation is working to keep their warmth inside. They are fully capable of being outside in the snow, the only thing that might have us bringing them in is if the snow changes to freezing rain, that is something no one is equipped to handle well.

Until then they have plenty of hay, grain, water and a place to get out of the wind, so they get to "enjoy" their snow day.

Spring herd is moved close to working facilities in case someone decides to calve, hay has been put out and windbreaks created for all cattle, generators are prepped and ready, and we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure our cattle are cared for in this incoming weather.

We hope everyone stays safe and warm...please do not travel unless necessary so those of us who need to be out and about caring for livestock (and people) can do so just a little more safely!
