The opening day of India was exciting and inspiring. Created during the Obama administration, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit brings together entrepreneurs from all over the world. This year, more than 1500 people from 148 countries are in attendance to learn, make connections, talk innovation and find clients and partners, ultimately to strengthen the global economy/ies.
The focus this year is on developing and supporting women entrepreneurs as economic engines in their communities, countries and across the globe. MitchRich Communications was privileged to be among the US businesses selected to participate.
It was a big deal for India as the host country and as an organizing partner with the US Govt. The entire city is aware we are here and has rolled out the red carpet (literally) for us. As our buses rolled from the convention center to the former presidential palace for the evening welcome reception, streets were blocked off, police security was high and citizens lined the streets to watch the spectacle and wave. Indian media covered it extensively, unfortunately with a particular focus on the presence of the daughter of He Whose Name Shall Not Be Spoken. I'll leave that at that. Beyond the incredible exposure to business ideas, we have been in absolute food heaven. It has been too overwhelming to adequately capture in photos, but there are a few of the food served at one of the host hotels.
