12/5

Yesterday morning, we were in-studio with for a series of segments regarding the FIFA World Cuo Draw, which took place at the Kennedy Center, in DC.

“It’s hard to overstate the geopolitical significance of the World Cup—the largest sporting event in the world. When Russia hosted the Winter Games in 2018, Putin got a huge visibility boost. When Qatar hosted the last World Cup, the eyes of the world were set on that emerging, oil-rich country, striving to be a global player.

The U.S. hosting the World Cup next year is a big deal. We’ve already seen how President Trump uses sport as a Trojan Horse for engagement and dialogue—both at home and abroad. I have no doubt he’ll seize this opportunity to make inroads around the world.”

Behind every great run, is a big body who made a block nobody else remembers.

We do and this is who is—both on and off the football field. He puts in the work so others can shine.

Happy belated, Pio. We see you! 🐘💪🏽

We grabbed this at our first Cyclocross World Championship, in 2011, and it’s hung in the DLE office ever since. That year, the event was held in Germany and the ground was so frigid—13F on race morning—the muddy tracks were frozen solid and the steaming gluhwein turned cold within minutes. Our client finished second, earning a hard-fought Silver, just 27 agonizing seconds from what would’ve been her first world Championship title.

There’s nothing quite like cyclocross—a race done on road bikes, across mud, sand, hills, and barriers—to the delight of tens of thousands of loud (and largely drunk) European fans.

Presidents’ Day

Our favorite Oval Office moment in sports, actually came on the diamond.

Game 3 of the 2001 World Series, President George W. Bush threw out the opening pitch at Yankee Stadium. Bush wore a bulletproof vest and threw a couple warm-ups underneath the stadium. Before walking out, Jeter famously pulled 43 aside and said “Mr. President, whatever you do, don’t bounce it; this is Yankee Stadium, they’ll boo you.”

Bush walked to the mound to a standing ovation and threw a strike right down the middle. The crowd erupted and it marked a moment of unbreakable American pride, purpose, and unity.

Sochi 2014

Hard to believe this photo was taken a decade ago—dinner with three DLE athletes, during some down time at the 2014 Winter Olympics, in Sochi, Russia. Nick (Ski Jump), Tucker (Luge), Jordan (Speed Skating). It was our first Winter Games and also our first Olympic medal as an agency.

Time flies!

(Note: that was a digital screen behind us at the USA House; Doug was not in fact on fire, although our athletes certainly were.)

FOX Business | 7.14.22

ICYMI: yesterday, we joined Mr. Neil Cavuto on to break down the growing feud between the PGA and the upstart, Saudi-backed, LIV Golf Tour. Neil and Doug also discussed the impact it’s having on players (suspensions, loss of sponsors, dropping world ranking points) as well as the potential scope of the DOJ investigation moving forward.

As always, it’s a pleasure to join Cavuto and we appreciate the team behind the team who made it happen.
