Maybe this is something many people don’t realize: our Latino community doesn’t always participate in primary elections , not because we don’t care, but because many people don’t know they have options to vote and important deadlines to keep in mind.
In Maryland, you can vote WITHOUT waiting in long lines on Election Day , but first, pay attention to these important dates:
🗳️ June 2: Deadline to register or update your voter registration.
🗳️ June 11–18: Early voting begins from 7AM–8PM. No appointment needed.
🗳️ If you vote by mail, request your ballot on time and make sure it’s postmarked BEFORE Election Day.
Voting early helps you avoid stress and gives you time to fix any registration issues if needed.

Puede ser que esto no te guste escuchar, pero muchas veces la comunidad latina no participa en las elecciones primarias… no porque no quiera, sino porque muchas personas no saben que tienen opciones para votar y fechas importantes que deben tener pendientes.
En Maryland puedes votar SIN hacer fila el Día de las Elecciones, pero primero pon atención a estas fechas importantes:
🗳️ 2 de junio: Último día para registrarte o actualizar tu registro.
🗳️ Del 11 al 18 de junio: Empieza el voto anticipado de 7AM a 8PM, sin necesidad de cita.
🗳️ Si votas por correo, pide tu boleta con tiempo y asegúrate de que tenga sello postal ANTES del Día de las Elecciones.
Votar anticipadamente te ayuda a evitar estrés y te da tiempo para resolver cualquier problema con tu registro si fuera necesario.
