The future of multicultural marketing belongs to the people shaping it.✨

Proud to see our Creative Director, Patricio Silva, representing Culture ONE World at the ANA SAMA () Member Forum!

The strongest multicultural work comes from involving the communities you hope to reach, understanding the nuances that shape their experiences, and building ideas with cultural insight from the start. As our industry continues to evolve, leaders like Pat help raise the bar for effective cultural marketing.

Thank you to ANA for bringing together some of the brightest minds in the industry and hosting these important conversations.

This month, brands found new ways to connect through culture, craftsmanship, and community. From Adidas partnering with Indigenous Mexican artisans ahead of the World Cup to Bad Bunny bringing everyday Puerto Rican life into fashion, the strongest work reflected a deeper understanding of place and identity.

At the same time, brands continued to explore the power of fandom. Olivia Rodrigo and FC Barcelona united music and fútbol audiences, Lay’s tapped into the energy surrounding the World Cup, and Apple reminded audiences that even in an AI era, people still value the craft behind the work.

Audiences continue to look for stories rooted in culture, built with intention, and connected to something real.

“My mom was very strict with us... she focused on raising her kids more than herself. We didn’t fully appreciate it at the time, but when you grow up, you start to understand why.”

For Mahlet Ketema, Controller at Culture ONE World, heritage lives in community, sacrifice, and the values passed down through generations. Growing up in Ethiopia, neighbors felt like family and every child was supported by the entire community. At the center of it all was her mother, who led with strength, discipline, and care.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who build foundations that last across generations.

If it looks messy, there’s a reason. Perfect design is everywhere and that’s exactly why it’s losing its edge.

As AI lowers the barrier to clean, polished visuals, brands are moving in the opposite direction. Raw, imperfect, almost childlike design is showing up across restaurants, retail, and culture. High-value design now signals something different: human touch, texture, personality, intention.

But there’s a line. When this aesthetic ignores place, it risks flattening culture and “design washing” environments without meaning. When it’s grounded in culture and story, it becomes a system.

Take the viral Amazonia project: a rebrand grounded in the natural systems of the Brazilian Amazon, where waterways shape the typemark itself. The design does more than look organic. It reflects environment, geography, and a deeper responsibility to place.

That’s a shift worth following. From aesthetics to intention, this is design that doesn’t just fit the environment, it tells a story.

Culture keeps raising the bar. Karol G makes history at Coachella. A sub-2 hour marathon resets human limits. Amsterdam opts for the environment over advertising. This month’s headlines highlight a shift toward scale, visibility, and breakthrough moments.

Audiences are engaging with complexity, embracing both celebration and controversy. These moments point to a larger truth: attention follows meaning, and meaning comes from identity, progress, and relevance.

Meet Talia Witherspoon, our Group Creative Director who brings a thoughtful, grounded perspective to everything she creates.
From time spent off-screen reconnecting through Pilates and body somatics, to finding inspiration in galleries and other artists’ work, Talia is constantly tuning into what it means to feel present and it shows in her approach.

We asked her to share 5 things she loves. The result is equal parts intentional, creative, and deeply personal.

At Culture ONE World, we believe the best ideas start with real people. More stories from the team coming soon.

From internet memes to music and visual culture, a lighter, more expressive energy is shaping how people show up online. Audiences are gravitating toward work that feels human, unexpected, and a little unpolished.

Embracing a little whimsy creates space for emotion, memorability, connection, and shareability.

For designers looking to stand out, a touch of whimsy can go a long way

“We’re often the first... We don’t have a blueprint and we’re literally doing things on faith, hard work, and community.”

For Olivia Blackwell, Account Supervisor at Culture ONE World, family history carries lessons about courage, faith, and perseverance. A single decision by her grandfather to leave the South and start a new life in Chicago helped shape the path for generations that followed.

Their stories shaped Olivia’s understanding of perseverance and possibility. When there is no blueprint, progress grows from faith, community, and the determination to build something lasting.
