Our Ultimate Guide to Trade Shows Part 2: The Game Plan

1. Set yourself up for success ✂️- bring scissors, boxcutters, pens, tape, notepads, etc: the things you’d think you could find anywhere but are scarce on the show floor.

2. Plan ahead 📝– do things as early as possible so if there are any issues, you can pivot with plenty of time.

3. Befriend someone on the inside 👯– whether it’s through a preferred partner or not, make sure you get to know someone who can make things happen day of. Are your shelves not tall enough? Meet someone who can get you last-minute risers and install them before your first meetings.

4. Take advantage of welcome and after parties🎉 – people are more relaxed here and you can likely network and set up meetings for later in the show.

5. Always download the associated app📱– if a show has an app, there’s a reason. This app can help you quickly find your way to the presentation you want to see. No booth number? No problem. You can also likely look up the name of someone you met on night one and find what booth they are at in seconds.
