From Sony S-Log3 to Rec.709 to the final grade.
This vertical stack shows the color grading progression on footage shot with the Sony FX3: the flat S-Log3 image, the basic Rec.709 conversion, and the final cinematic grade. For the finished look, multiple techniques were used including subject masking, independent exposure and color adjustments, and a cooler blue/teal treatment in the background to help the performer stand out and give the image more depth.
