To the members of the GMA community,

The mission of Georgetown Marketing Association is to foster a safe environment for all students to learn about and have equal access to resources about marketing. However, we cannot achieve this goal when police brutality, racism, white supremacy, and hatred remain pervasive in our country.

The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black people deserve justice, and the institutional racism and oppression that plagues this nation deserve change. As a club dedicated to equality both within and without the greater Georgetown community, we stand in solidarity with all those who continue to push for equity and fight for racial justice and police accountability and encourage our members to do the same.

Times like these require every organization to redouble their effort at understanding our nation’s history and work to ensure a just and fair society for all, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.
