Today on Barntraders.com, we’re featuring a truly historic piece of American craftsmanship—an 1830s log timbered barn located in Sandhills, North Carolina.

This barn dates back to the mid to late 1800s, with the central log portion confirmed by a local historian to be from the 1830s. The design includes a loft for storage, side stalls for animals, and a rear shed for equipment. Over time, additional sheds were added to either side and the back, enhancing its utility.

Notable features include cat-faced logs, solid foundation timbers, pine board siding, roofing tin, and even cedar shakes under part of the roof.

Interested in preserving history? Here’s an added incentive: the buyer will receive 10% back once the barn is fully removed from the site—but no cherry picking, please.
