The Glen Echo Group led a communications workshop for state broadband leaders from around the U.S. on telling their unique broadband story, a critical component to ensuring they get the word out about connecting all Americans.

Glen Echo CEO Maura Colleton Corbett and Veneeth Iyengar, Louisiana State Executive Director for Broadband Development and Connectivity with ConnectLA, talked about the challenges that small broadband offices like Louisiana face and offered some wisdom on the importance of approaching this challenge like a political campaign for broadband.

Happy ! Dr. Rochelle R. Daniel, Communications Department professor and PRSSA National Chapter Adviser at Glen Echo partner Bowie State University, is the first woman we’d like to highlight for .

A recently published co-author with fellow professor Dr. Karima Haynes, Dr. Daniel ensures HBCU students have the tips to succeed in PR in “Communications Internship Handbook: What HBCU Students Need to Know.”

The book received the Outstanding Book Award at the (NABJ) National Association of Black Journalists Annual Conference. We’re looking forward to supporting many more Bowie State PRSSA students with Dr. Daniel in the future!
