Happy Three-Year Anniversary to Erfan!

When Erfan joined our team, he was in high school — and he brought with him the dynamic experience of having been a teenage activist in Afghanistan, engaged in climate and peace work.

Now, he’s a deeply engaged student leader at George Washington University. And he balances his academic ambition with a continued commitment to growing his consulting expertise. If you’re lucky enough to be on a project with Erfan, you know why he’s such an important part of our team.

Happy Birthday to our August VIPs! 🎉

This month, we're celebrating Erfan, Divinia, Jae, and Poppy and the tremendous energy, kindness, and curiosity they share with the rest of the LINK team.

We'll share a little inside story. On each birthday, we gather as a full team on Zoom to sing (either the traditional or Stevie Wonder version of "Happy Birthday"). We may be unstoppable as a team, but that doesn't mean we're good at singing together. This month, we sang twice in a row — back-to-back — for Jae and Poppy. Their ears are still ringing. And not in a good way.

Anyway, here's to another rotation around the sun — and to better singing in the year ahead!

🎾🇯🇲❤️ The Jamaica Cup is back.

LINK Strategic Partners and KM Sports Entertainment are proud to announce that the will take place November 11–16, 2026 at Half Moon Jamaica in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Last year, Hurricane Melissa struck just before what was set to be the inaugural Jamaica Cup. In the aftermath, we made a commitment to our partners and the community that we would return, not simply to host a tennis tournament, but to continue showing up for Jamaica and playing a role in its recovery.

This November, professional tennis players will compete alongside collegiate athletes from Howard University's HU Bison Tennis Team in Washington, D.C. and Concordia University Texas in Austin.

Across six days, the Jamaica Cup will bring together world-class tennis, a Pro-Am, unique player experiences, community engagement and the culture and hospitality that make Jamaica such a special place.

We’re proud to be back and excited to welcome players and guests from around the world to Montego Bay.

It was a huge week for —too much to fit in one message, but let’s try.

We kicked off the week with some major news. We were named to the Inc. Magazine 5000 list—for the fifth time—recognizing LINK as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.

Our team toured DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music & Entertainment’s HQ to explore their world-class production hub, learn more about how they connect DC residents through local programming, and explore ways we can partner to elevate and promote DC’s culture around the globe.

And to cap off the week, our President Michael Akin delivered the keynote address for the GWHCC - Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Global Business Luncheon — and then joined Chief of Staff & EVP Jamal Holtz with Mark Hall on DC News Now to talk about LINK’s growth, the impact we’re making here at home, and how our hyperlocal work continues to shape what we do around the world.

This has been a big week celebrating where we’ve been, and it’s generated even more momentum for where we’re going next. We can’t wait to share it with you.

Yesterday, our President, Michael Akin, had the honor of serving as keynote speaker at the GWHCC - Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Global Business Luncheon.

It was a privilege to be in a room filled with leaders across sectors, to share our thoughts on the power of being hyperlocal with a global perspective.

We’re proud to post the full speech here, at the request of the many attendees who shared that these remarks resonated.

Thank you to the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the invitation, and congratulations on fifty years of uplifting businesses and building economic opportunity across the region and around the world.

We look forward to continuing to build partnerships that help our communities grow together.

To us, growth was never just about the numbers. It's about impact. We've never lost our focus on local — we've just learned how to take that hyperlocal approach and apply it globally. In the past two years, LINK has worked with communities in 20+ countries. When we first opened, we never could have imagined writing that.

None of this could have happened without the people at LINK and the countless partners who have believed in us.

This week is National Health Center Week.

For years, LINK Strategic Partners has been proud to stand alongside the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) and many of the health centers it represents. We’ve been grateful to serve as a partner in this work—from strategy and stakeholder engagement to communications and organizational transformation.

Along the way, we’ve learned something important: Community Health Centers aren’t just part of our healthcare system—they represent what healthcare should look like. Care that’s accessible, trusted, community-driven, and built around the people it serves.

That’s why this work means so much to us.
