I truly believe that embracing the “Motor City” brand and foot holding that monicker would pull people from all over the world to witness the prowess of the Detroit automotive bloodline. An all vehicle automobile museum; with driving simulators and indoor vehicle themed roller coasters; a genuine race track for both Grand Prix and nascar; education centers that introduce aspiring people to clay and digital modeling, upholstery, metal work and design (sponsored by CCS); paint and body shops geared towards customs, young and old; gearhead themed restaurants and shops. The tourism would be through the roof year round. And only Detroit could pull this off authentically.

Tello (formerly seesponge) is proud to share our latest creation for Buon Appetitos. The lobby is now complete, sporting custom bench seating crafted from solid walnut, leather strapped back cushions and dimensional chunk lattice artwork.

Tello was previously known as seesponge.

Growing up, I loved sitting in a private booth — back then they’d even close the curtains. Now we didn’t want to shut out the rest of the restaurant, but the addition of the drapery was a nice way to soften the space and give a bit of character to the cubbies. Each booth has unique artwork ordered from Italy.

This print was the inspiration that started it all — well, this and the Mediterranean Sea. It was purchased from Australia, printed on matte cotton paper with archival inks. I almost purchased two!

The yellow lamps perfectly accent the limoncello art, adding to the overall lemon theme throughout. The tile on the wall was ordered from New York, custom designed to include the lemon shape repeat pattern. Take note of the walnut wraps at the top of the brick columns — it just added that extra level of detail that can’t be overlooked.
