You don’t have to be the best. You just have to keep showing up.

Nobody’s first post was their best post. Nobody went viral on day one and built something sustainable from it. The accounts you admire right now did not get there because they were the most talented or the most polished or the most everything.

They got there because they kept going when it felt pointless.

The more you show up the more comfortable you get. The more comfortable you get the more your personality comes through. The more your personality comes through the more your audience connects with you. And that connection is what actually grows an account worth having.

Stop waiting until you feel ready. Stop waiting until your content is perfect. Stop waiting until you have more followers or a better camera or a more aesthetic feed.

Start now. Stay consistent. Get comfortable in who you are and what you have to say.

Authenticity is the most powerful thing your brand has.
Think about your own behavior for a second. You can tell within two seconds when a comment is generated. You can feel when a DM was never written by a human. You know when you’re talking to a script and not a person. And what do you do? You ignore it. You move on. Maybe, you even unfollow.

Your audience is doing the exact same thing on your page.

The brands winning right now are not the ones with the most automated touchpoints. They are the ones that show up and actually make people feel something.

A real reply. A genuine comment. A DM that sounds like it came from someone who actually read what you wrote. Those small moments of real human connection are what separate the brands people scroll past from the brands people buy from, refer and come back to.

Hi, I’m Drew! Allow me to reintroduce myself 🎤🎶

I’ve been showing up on your feed talking about social media strategy, content creation and local business growth and somewhere along the way never really introduced the person behind it all. So here we are.

I’m a Cancer, a graphic design grad from Oakland University and someone who taught herself every editing software she knows from scratch because sitting still and waiting for someone to teach her was never really an option. Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut, CapCut. All self taught and all genuinely something I love doing.

My three cats and one dog are almost always somewhere near me while I work. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And yes I get asked all the time how I can actually enjoy social media. The honest answer is I grew my own account to a combined 500K across platforms. I’ve seen what it can do for a brand and I’ve also seen every dark corner of it. I know what’s real, I know what’s manufactured and that perspective is exactly what makes me good at what I do.

I feel genuinely lucky to wake up and do work I care about every single day. And having you here is a big part of that. 🤍

Consider this your cheat code. 👀

We have a very specific love language and it almost entirely revolves around timely feedback and being trusted to do what we were hired to do.

Telling us “you’re the expert, we trust you” is genuinely the equivalent of flowers. Sending back approvals before the deadline? Truly romantic. Not second guessing every caption we wrote at 11pm the night before it posts? We would cry happy tears.

Do we take what we can get and still show up every day regardless? Obviously yes. But if you really want to make our day, now you know how.
