Playing a small part in supporting the students in this class, and the years before them, is a great opportunity to not only share but to listen and learn as well.
Thanks 25/26 Monroe County Startup class for the opportunity to come and discuss entrepreneurship, business and personal growth.
We had the opportunity to welcome Gary Most, owner of Marketicity LLC, back to our class, and his presentation was incredibly impactful. He not only shared valuable insight on marketing our businesses, but also emphasized the importance of being smart and strategic in how we grow.
Gary challenged us to think deeper about who our customers really are, how to “sell the sizzle, not the steak,” and why convenience, value, and customer service matter so much. He reminded us that setbacks are part of the process, but what truly counts is how we carry ourselves and bounce back.
We also learned the importance of being memorable, where customers can find us, return to us, and why they should want more. His advice to stay genuine while still taking creative risks really stood out, along with the idea of always finding ways to showcase everything we offer.
One of the biggest takeaways: if you have the skills to get yourself out of a tough situation, use them. That mindset is powerful.
Thank you again, Gary, for taking the time to come back and share your knowledge with us—we truly appreciate it!
