After 23 years of offering embroidery, screen printing, trophies and awards, NorthCountry Custom Embroidery has merged with The Whimsical Pig, LLC and returned to Downtown Watertown. The two companies have worked together for many years and the timing is right for the merger.
NorthCountry Custom Embroidery was founded in 1999 by Bob Thurston Jr. and his family, offering embroidery services at 100 Court St. in Watertown. Over the years they expanded into screen printing as well as trophies and awards. The trophy and awards portion of the business was sold in 2018, and in 2021 they relocated their embroidery services to 1040 Bradley St., working with Atomic Signworks. When Atomic was ready to expand their business, the Thurstonโs began talks with Jason Comet and Avery Carman from The Whimsical Pig about a possible merger of their businesses. An agreement was reached and both companies now operate out of 50 Public Square.
The Whimsical Pig will handle all the designs, orders, and billing while NorthCountry Custom Embroidery will handle the embroidery services. With this merger, our embroidery service has doubled in size to better serve the customers and offer quicker turnaround time.
All of NorthCountry Custom Embroideryโs customer base is still on file, including all designs and logos accumulated over the 23 years in business.
The Whimsical Pig was formed in 2003 by Alma Carman as a custom framing business. Over the years they expanded into screen printing and embroidery as well as custom awards. Together, the two companies will continue to service their customers with quality framing, embroidery, screen printing and award services for many years to come.
