This poor faded sign that I painted in '04 had been blown off it's posts in a nasty storm and was in bad shape. The black Alumilite held up enough that except for the big holes it was able to get patched and repainted!

This project from last year was the first time using texture paste. I used it to sculpt the feathers and then I added fine glitter just to see if it would last in our weather. The Rooster has held up great!

Happy New Year to all from Watseka Sign and me Carol Kaufmann! I've been out of my shop for a bit with the crazy weather, the Holidays and then my pesty Appendix, so current hours are optimistic at best.

I'm so blessed doing what I love for a living, well for a long time, going on 35 years. In hindsight I wish I'd had the guts to name my shop something different, but in '91 women didn't do
Signs let alone open as a shop, hence the generic name! It hasn't been easy and I have learned from a lot of "lessons". But I've had the best mentors ever in this industry and I'm forever grateful to them.
Welcome New Year and I'll be looking forward to sweet sign projects and getting back to my Art!
