The Lake County Business and Technical Incubator, a program of the Greater Waukegan Development Coalition, is to position the Waukegan area as a resilient place to start and grow a business technology company. While Waukegan offers excellent access to affordable housing and public transportation, we see Waukegan losing a lot of its local talent to larger cities with more opportunities in the tech

nology sector. Currently there are limited companies to absorb the talent of the young creative, who are returning home from graduating college to pursue gray collar careers. The Lake County Tech Hub and Business Incubator is designed to support the successful development of entrepreneurial companies through an array of business support resources and services, developed and orchestrated by incubator management and offered both in the incubator and through its network of contacts.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day. I have exciting news to share with you. Our 3rd Annual DCEO Latin@ Economic Summit will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 9:30am – 2:00pm at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 College Pkwy, Palos Hills, IL 60465 (Building M).

The Contractor Procurement Academy enters final class week 8 and we are hearing about the positive impact to our small businesses and contractor students seeking more opportunities for their services.

What this GWDC program offers and delivers each week to our students comes with sound content and focuses on success. The LCTH provides followup support in technical assistance and 1 to 1 mentoring to ensure confident, certified, and compliant participants.
