Every Oscar season, something stirs inside the walls of z2.
A reminder of why we do this.
To tell stories that move people.
To chase ideas that feel just out of reach.
To quietly dream that maybe—one day—our work might be called by name.

Today, someone at z2 got that call.

Our own Island Styles—the heartbeat behind our scores and sound design—was part of a short film called The Singers last year. And now, that work has been recognized on the biggest stage of them all.

We are beyond proud.
Beyond inspired.

Congratulations to one of the most talented, driven, and generous musicians we’ve ever had the honor to create alongside.

The dream is real. And today, it’s Island’s. Who will from this day forward be known as Oscar Nominated. And maybe... Just maybe in March an Oscar Winner.

Work With Your Team
Good design isn’t done in isolation. Ask questions, clarify ideas, and step in to help where you can. Supporting others and keeping projects organized helps everyone produce stronger work.

Think About the Brand
Pay attention to consistency in colors, fonts, and assets. Look for ways to simplify and streamline elements. This keeps projects clean, professional, and easier to manage.

Collaborate Beyond the Screen
Design often involves more than just your screen. Communicate clearly with printers, installers, and other partners. Problem-solve along the way. These practical skills help projects run smoothly from start to finish.
