What’s in a name? The Shakespearean question. ☺️ I’ve been asked what my business name means and how I came up with it.

Silver Silo came from feeling inspired by those moments driving out of big cities toward small towns, when you start to see silos catch the light in the distance. Like these towns they’re easy to overlook, but they represent so much of what’s stored here in the rural parts of the Midwest—people, ideas, characters, ingenuity, passion, integrity, and community. I wanted my business to reflect that same idea: finding and elevating what’s already valuable.

I’m reminded of this often when I have the pleasure of working with fellow entrepreneurs, the students!, the hard working dreamers, the makers—so many ideas and ways to express them.

There’s nothing like talking about ideas and helping showcase people that are willing to push their limits to find out how great they are and what they’re capable of—finding the uncompromising parts of themselves that allow them to live their best life.

I have enjoyed being the designer on this project with Amy and Marta, volunteers on the Greenwood Cemetery Association, to polish up this existing structure. We were able to turn their logo into a 3 dimensional element on the sign itself. Join them Friday at the Chamber Coffee to talk about all of the great work they've been doing to keep the cemetery beautiful and all the great work to be done!

Yesterday marked one year as a print shop owner—and what a year it’s been.

I kicked off the day wrapping up a project for the Spring Sprints event, a reminder of how much this business has grown and the kind of work I get to be part of. I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who have trusted me, supported me, and kept me busy doing what I love.

This year has been about learning fast, delivering quality, and building something real—and I’m just getting started. If you’ve been thinking about a project, a refresh, or bringing an idea to life, I’d love to work with you.

Good morning! Due to no UPS pickup and basketball games today Silver Silo will be closed today and tomorrow to reset for the new year. We will resume normal business hours Friday from 10-4. Thank you for your support. Happy New Year!

We have basketball games to cheer on and lots of celebrating ahead — but we’ll still be around for a very few limited hours next week!

We also want to say a heartfelt thank you for the support you’ve shown Silver Silo over the past 8 months. It truly means more to us than we can say. We’re so grateful for this community and look forward to the new year.

Great news for this Saturday in downtown Wayne America!

🎄✨ Small Business Saturday… Version 2.0, y’all! ✨🎄
Because when Mother Nature says “nope,” the small businesses of Wayne America say, “plot twist!” 😄

Since last Saturday’s tradition got snowed out, all your fave local shops are teaming up to give you ANOTHER chance to shop small, shop local, and get that Christmas list under control. 🎁💪

If you’re not already following my sweet friend over at Refind & Refresh, you definitely should be—because she’s bringing the fun in the cutest ways: Business Bingo, ugly sweaters, merriment, mischief, possibly glitter. ✨
