What I’m actually looking at before I click the shutter…

It’s not just whether you’re smiling.

Before I take the photo, I’m looking at the light, the background, your hands, your posture, your hair, your outfit, the little details, and the overall feeling of the moment.

I’m checking for distractions behind you, making sure the angle is flattering, fixing anything that may feel out of place, and helping guide you into a pose that feels natural instead of stiff.

Because good photos don’t happen by accident.

They come from paying attention to all the tiny things that make a big difference — the way the light hits your face, the movement in your dress, the way your hands connect, the laugh right after the prompt, the quiet in-between moment that feels like you.

So while you’re just enjoying the session, I’m behind the camera making sure everything comes together beautifully.

You don’t have to worry about all the little details.

This summer, I’m turning photoshoots into full-on experiences.

I’ll be offering a limited summer bucket list of fun, playful, memory-making sessions that feel less like “stand here and smile” and more like an actual summer adventure.

Available session ideas include:

🎣 Fishing session

To make it even more fun, the first person to book each session theme will receive a special discount. After the first spot is claimed for that theme, regular session rates will apply.

What was your wedding budget non-negotiable? 👀

When planning a wedding, everyone has that one thing they refuse to compromise on.

For some couples, it’s the venue.
For others, it’s the food, the dress, the florals, the music, or making sure their people are fully taken care of.

And for many couples? It’s photography.

Because when the day is over, the cake is eaten, the flowers are packed away, and the music stops… your photos are what you get to keep. They hold the tiny in-between moments, the big emotional ones, and all the love you might not even realize was happening around you.

Interest Check: Charity Bike Calendar Photoshoot 🏍️📸

A few years ago, I had the honor of doing a charity bike photoshoot for a couple going through IVF, and I’ve been thinking about bringing something similar back — but bigger.

I’m currently considering putting together a charity motorcycle/biker calendar photoshoot featuring bikes, bikers, and models, with proceeds being donated to a meaningful charity or possibly multiple charities.

Before I make anything official, I’m trying to get an idea of interest and numbers.

I’m looking for:

🏍️ Motorcycle owners/bikers who would be interested in participating
📸 Models — male and female — who would be comfortable being featured
🤝 Local businesses or sponsors who may want to be involved
💙 Charity suggestions for where the proceeds should be donated

This calendar would be created with the goal of bringing people together, creating something fun and meaningful, and giving back to a cause that matters.

At this stage, I’m simply gathering interest and ideas. Once I have a better idea of how many people would want to be involved, I’ll be able to work out the details, theme, dates, charity selection, and what this project could look like.

Photographer or comedian? Honestly… both.

Sometimes getting the shot means finding the right light, choosing the right angle, giving the right prompt…

And sometimes it means wearing a child’s Bluey headphones because it makes him laugh.

When kids are part of a session or wedding day, I don’t expect them to act like tiny adults. Kids have big feelings, short attention spans, silly moods, and their own little world — and I’m more than happy to meet them there.

Whether that means being goofy, playing along, taking breaks, making it feel like a game, or doing whatever gets those real smiles out, I’ll do what I can to help them feel comfortable.

Because beautiful photos with kids don’t always come from forcing perfect poses. Sometimes they come from patience, silliness, trust, and a photographer who isn’t afraid to look a little ridiculous to make the moment work.

So yes, I’ll fix the dress, pose the couple, capture the details…
and wear the Bluey headphones if that’s what gets the smile. 💙📸

Good photos are more than just a pretty location. 📸

While location can absolutely add to the magic, what truly makes your photos feel beautiful is connection, comfort, movement, and trust.

That’s where I come in.

You don’t have to show up knowing how to pose, what to do with your hands, or how to “act natural” in front of the camera. I’ll guide you every step of the way with simple prompts, gentle direction, and little adjustments that help you feel confident instead of awkward.

As your session goes on and we get more comfortable with each other, you’ll start to relax, laugh a little more, move more naturally, and forget about the camera being there. Think of me as a friend cheering you on — just with a camera in hand and posing expertise in my back pocket.

My goal is never to force stiff, uncomfortable poses. It’s to create space for real moments, genuine smiles, and photos that actually feel like you. Because the best images don’t come from the perfect location — they come from feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.
