Would you be interested in a hands-on genealogy class at Hobby Hut Studios?

We’re considering a class where you would actually work on YOUR family history—with guidance as you search for records, build your family tree, and investigate those relatives who seem to have disappeared into the past!

Whether you’re starting with just a few names or have been researching for years and hit a brick wall, we’d love to hear from you.

🧶 Have you ever wondered how yarn is actually made?

Before modern mills and craft stores, people turned fiber into yarn by hand — and now you can learn how, too!

Join us at Hobby Hut Studios for a hands-on Learn to Spin Yarn class with Caryn Hall, who brings 10 years of experience spinning with drop spindles, wheels, and both plant and animal fibers.

Whether you’re brand new to spinning or you have a drop spindle or spinning wheel tucked away that you’ve always wanted to learn to use, this class is for you.

📍 Hobby Hut | Weatherford, TX
💲 $30 per person
🧵 Class size is limited to just 10 participants

Have your own drop spindle or spinning wheel? Bring it with you!
Don’t have one yet? No problem — spindles and fiber will be available for purchase at class.

Adults are welcome, and those 18 and under may participate with instructor approval and an adult participant.

Caryn is a lifelong collector of traditional craft skills and shares her projects at crittersandcraft.blog.

✨ Come learn an old skill, make something with your own hands, and discover just how satisfying it is to go from fluff to stuff!

👻 Look who just floated into Hobby Hut Studios!

Our newest DIY kit is now available in the shop, and I think this little ghost may be one of my favorites!

You start with the plain laser-cut wooden pieces and make him completely your own. Paint him, distress the edges, add his polka-dot glasses, silly spiders, Halloween shoes, jute and that big messy bow. 🎃

The finished project makes the cutest shelf sitter for a mantle, entry table, kitchen counter or Halloween display.
And remember—you don't have to make yours exactly like ours! Choose your own colors and ribbons and give your ghost his own personality.
