Dear Cowgirl,
Remember who you are.
You come from women who rose before daylight, pulled on their boots, and went to work without waiting for somebody to make the road easy.
They knew a good horse was worth taking care of.
They knew cattle didn’t care if you were tired.
They knew some days you rode in sunshine and some days you rode through hell.
So keep your word.
Take care of your horses.
Help your neighbors.
Work for what you want.
And when life knocks you down, get back in the saddle.
You don’t have to be the loudest woman in the room.
Just be the one they can count on when the gate needs fixing and the storm is coming.
That’s the kind of woman the West was built by.
