Come join us on Friday, November 28, 2025 for our Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting!! Let's begin the Christmas season with photos with santa at Old Waters Inn at Wedowee from 2:30-4:30, festivities by the Christmas tree beginning at 5:00PM and Wake & Shake Donut Shop will be there serving hot cocoa free of charge (generously sponsored by First State Bank). Can't wait to see you there!!

Come early, take a leisurely walk through town, do a little shopping (or a lot), get a bite to eat, grab a picture with Santa, then make your way over to the tree lighting!!

7/16/25 Wedowee Paving Update

ALDOT advised they starting the wearing surface (asphalt/final layer) today, 7/16/25, beginning at the north side of the project. They will try to pave the entire lane today all the way to the south end. It will require the outside lane be closed during while they are working. Also, parking in the outside lane will not be available, and crossing between the medians will not be permitted to allow for the work to be completed.

We are nearing the end of the project!! Please continue to be patient during the paving. It will be worth it when all the work is complete!!
