I will rarely circulate a GoFundMe, so I ask you to please take some time and read this post. My dear close friends Ted Phelps and Lisbeth Phelps (who got me through some rough times as my neighbors in Arizona with their friendship and emotional support) have been going through a challenging time right now, at no fault of their own and due to ... Both Lisbeth and Ted survived COVID-19 in November.
Everything after that was seemingly returning to normal. Little did they know that as a result of the Covid infection, numerous blood clots were building up in Ted's leg, which broke off and spread to his lungs (pulmonary embolism). This is a life-threatening and fatal situation when left untreated. Lisbeth rushed him to the hospital last week, where he received the care he needed. But unfortunately, they are now faced with unexpected crippling hospital debt due to Ted being self-employed and without health insurance. Ted will need continued treatment for a very long time to recover from this, so these bills will keep on growing, already at a six-figure range.
They have a beautiful teenage daughter & have worked so hard throughout the years as amazing parents providing a great life for their girl. If you have the time to share this post or contribute what you can, I would forever appreciate your help right now. I have never seen Ted nor Lisbeth ask for anything, and they have always been there for others. (In fact, I had to convince Lisbeth to do this because they are so self-sufficient and amazingly responsible that even in the event of an emergency, they did not want to have to ask for donations)
I hope that many will step up and be there for them in their time of need, right now.
