I photographed this Grizzly Bear several years ago. He was definitely one of the more active bears I’ve ever photographed. I’m not sure, but I think he might have a question.

I had the rare opportunity to photograph a first year grizzly cub, COY (cub of the year). There were actually three cubs and the mother grizzly bear all together. But this little guy decided to show his moves for me and the camera. It was rare to be able to photograph three new cubs with the mom, but then to have one of the cubs stand was the cherry on top.

Early morning sunshine is one of my favorite times to photograph wildlife. But you have to be up and out way before sunrise to find your subject just as there is enough light to see, then you wait for that perfect moment. This elk poses beautifully just for me as the morning sun was on him.

I don’t do a lot of my wildlife photography in Utah. 99% of it I do in Wyoming or Montana. But this photo is an exception. I photographed this Bald Eagle in Utah. This is one of my favorite bird photos I’ve ever taken.
