Meet Stella Snook, one of our Account Executives for Spring 2026!

⭐ Stella is a Junior in Selling and Sales Management, and PR and Strategic Communications. This is Stella’s second semester in BC.

⭐ Her advice for present and future members: “ Take every opportunity that comes your way! Every experience helps you grow and pushes you to be the best version of yourself!”

⭐ This semester, Stella’s team will work with Medley Family Farms, Golden Avenue Vintage Collective, Imagination Station, and Purdue AIDA3.

Meet Kennedi Thomas, one of our Account Executives for Spring 2025!

⭐ Kennedi is a senior majoring in Communication and Anthropology. This is her third semester in Boiler Com.

⭐ Her advice for current and future members: “Take on projects even if they don’t have a lot of experience in that area because it is always an amazing learning opportunity.”

⭐ This semester, Kennedi’s team will work with Standard Properties, Jane Santucci, Purdue Presentation Center, and Wonderland Education.

Last week, two of our executive members attended PRSSA ICON, a national conference bringing together PR students and professionals from across the country. 💬🌎

Our chapter brought home two honors:
🏆 Uyen Ngo, National PRSSA VP of Career Services, earned the Gold Key Award and the Geoffrey M. Curtis Scholarship 🎓
⭐ Purdue PRSSA was named a Star Chapter, the gold standard of excellence among PRSSA chapters nationwide!

Lily’s team had a highly successful semester working with Honey Skin Social, Wonderland Education and Harvest Creek Farm.

For Honey Skin Social, they created Instagram posts, edited reels and planned the client’s social media calendar. 🗓️

With Wonderland Education, the team designed eye-catching graphics to promote their annual Rube Goldberg Machine competition. Additionally, they created flyers to promote the client’s after-school programs, including robotics and 3D printing. 🧬

Finally, for Harvest Creek Farm, they conducted market research and competitor analysis to provide the client with a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape. 💻

Lily and her team did incredible work this semester! We also want to congratulate Lily on her graduation from Purdue University. May you find great success in your next chapter! 🎓

Rosalie’s team had a highly successful semester working with their clients, Purdue Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Wabash Valley Youth Symphony.

For the Wabash Valley Youth Symphony, the team focused on event promotion to boost community engagement, increasing engagement on their social platforms by 267%. The team also wrote a press release for their May 18 concert and distributed it to local news outlets.

For Purdue Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the team established a LinkedIn page as a hub for sharing event coverage and connecting with the community of entrepreneurs at Purdue. The team also researched branding and messaging strategies to best assist the client.

Rosalie’s team was a key contributor to helping their clients meet their goals this semester. We hope that these talented PR professionals keep shining bright! ⭐️

One of her team members also became one of our new Account Executives. We’re excited for you to meet them this fall! 🎶

Meet Ericka Gehres, the Director of Boiler Communication!

✨ Ericka has been teaching at the Brian Lamb School of Communication for 5 years and has been leading Boiler Communication for 5 semesters. Her advice for current and future members is “Take chances! Even mistakes are learning opportunities– the more open you are to experiences, the more you will gain from this class.”

✨ During this semester, Ericka is excited to see the creative work and thinking that comes out of the firm. No two semesters are the same and that is what makes it fun for all those involved! She is also implementing in-class activities like podcast discussions, a PR-focused book club, and Resume/LinkedIn development to sharpen the skills and experiences of Boiler Communication’s students.

✨ In the past, Ericka worked in corporate retail for 15 years. This time taught her the importance of branding, customer focus, and consistent communication– vital skills for leading the students of Boiler Communication.

Meet Kevin Huang, our Senior Leadership Advisor for Spring 2025!

✨ Kevin is a senior majoring in Communication with concentrations in Public Relations & Strategic Communication, and Media & Mass Communication. He is also completing a minor in Human Resource Management and a certificate in Collaborative Leadership. Now in his fourth and final semester with Boiler Communication, his advice for current and future members is to “ask questions, take on new challenges and problems and have fun because we are all students who started off as inexperienced. BoilerCom is the best opportunity for students to have first-hand experience working in a PR agency, so take the time to explore new friendships, relationships, boundaries and projects within PR.”

✨ As the Senior Leadership Advisor, Kevin will work to ensure that the projects produced by Account Representatives are to the highest standards of quality and ensure there is a healthy client-team relationship between our 12 clients and 4 teams.

✨ In the past, Kevin has worked with The Salvation Army, The LGBTQ+ Center, The Purdue Airport, The Brian Lamb School of Communication and The College of Liberal Arts Career Center.
