Hey y’all, I’m Leah 👋🏻 I want to introduce myself so you get to know the face behind Leah Marie Creative.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A few things about me:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍟 I love all things salty and my love language is French fries.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🐶🐱🐓🐄🐐 I got married last year and moved to my husband’s farm in Kentucky. This city girl now lives in the country with cows, chickens, two goats, a small herd of kitties, and a doggo. Never thought my future included farm shenanigans and here we are!
🐽 I am known for my snort laughs and “Leahisms” or silly phrases. You might pick up one or two if you talk with me longer than five minutes.
🎬 I love 80’s and 90’s action flicks - they always have the best one liners. You’ll constantly hear me quote one and say “name that movie.”
🖥 I’ve freelanced on and off since graduating 12 years ago (sheesh, time is weird) and now have the most clarity on who I serve and how. I transform freelance marketers’ brand and online presence with my done-for-you Brand Authority Method.

Peasants! It’s my favorite exclamation, not gonna lie. 😂 If you’re around me long enough, you’ll hear me say it and sometimes in my best Yzma voice. And in the world of AI and more and more people using design tools, I see some common missteps worthy of the peasant calling. So all in good fun, here’s a few tips to take your graphics from peasant to pro:

🦙Always scale proportionally! Y’all, never stretch or squish your photos or graphics, especially logos. Hold down Shift key while scaling to maintain proportions.
🦙Align align align. A quick way to clean up any layout is to imagine a grid over your design and line your objects up. Our eye naturally wants order and balance. Even asymmetrical pieces use a balance system so things don’t feel misplaced.
🦙Master the art of spacing! Applying a consistent amount of space between similar elements creates a flow and rhythm. Spacing and alignment go hand-in-hand to guide the eye in how to process the information you’re presenting.

Why is this important? These seemingly small moves enhance readability, improve visual hierarchy, and create a polished, professional look. ⚡️ This consistency builds confidence and trust and the best move to stay consistent is to work within a brand and visual identity system.

It’s a rainy day here in Athens but I’m loving that it’s feeling like fall! Like any other basic white girl, fall is my favorite.
