I designed the logo and branding for Maine Passive House back in 2007 (maybe earlier). Today I saw it embroidered huge across the back of a vest—and I stopped the woman wearing it to ask if I could take a photo.

Only after I asked what she does at MPH did I find out she’s Katrina Belle, the President. Doh! She was super nice and happy to model. Jesper Kruse (my old friend) started MPH in a forward-thinking way—bringing Passive House building to Maine and building a team that includes women builders and leaders—before transitioning the company into employee ownership. Feels good to see it still going strong—and worn with pride.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 17th, I will be hosting a reception at McLaughlin Garden gallery from 5-7. A small solo show of my work will be up until the end of the month. My mother, nostalgia, womanhood, aging, abstraction and ascension, continue to pervade my thinking in this small slice we call life. Come and see what I’ve been up to .
