We appreciate drawing attention to the climate crisis’ continued disproportionate impact on women.

Thanks to the incredible work of organizations like , we have known for some time that women are far more negatively impacted by climate events like floods and droughts, especially in communities most vulnerable to these events that can have disastrous consequences on housing, mobility and access to healthcare and other social services.

Prof. Jamie Gloor, Eugenia Bajet, Corinne Post and Winfried Ruigrok provide six recommendations for leaders to achieve more inclusive, sustainable outcomes, one being:

👉🏽 Normalize men caring about climate.

We love this recommendation. Caring about the environment and taking measures to be more climate-conscious and KINDER to natural ecosystems are too often seen as “soft economics” or “feminine politics” and are partly responsible for the state of emergency our climate faces.

Let's face it. It will take more time than we have the luxury to spend to get more women in leadership positions. So, there needs to be a concerted effort to shift how men in leadership think and feel about climate action.

And, let’s remember, Sustainability has no gender. But lousy behaviour has a disproportionate impact on one gender over the other. There’s a difference.

🤗 We are so excited to share this news with you because we soooo get it.

Your team is working hard to grow your business and brand but is struggling to do it all 😩. You are trying to be fresh, authentic and consistent with your content, engagement and design. We know. But, with little to no time, headspace and resourcing, it's so easy to fall behind or right off. With algorithm changes and new trends each week, being consistent and staying relevant, all while remaining authentic, is impossible without expert help.

It's what led us to launch our Monthly Plan subscription service; flexible short-term commitments designed to help social purpose organizations scale their voice, visibility and authority.

🚀 These plans will build brand consistency and provide fuel to sustain your organization's creative energy and drive growth.

💛 We believe plans that have the flex to meet small businesses where they are on their journey will create more room for smarter business and greater social and environmental impact.

The real real 👇🏼

We are all about being positive and optimistic, but the truth is, we have to acknowledge how Earth is feeling today: not good.

Yes, take time to celebrate Earth, but promise to do more today. Commit to being brave, listening well, and making an impact.

Sustainability is not just about planting trees (though that's a part of it, and you know we LOVE 🌳). It's also about changing how you've done things to make room for better outcomes, using your brand voice, and showing up when it matters, like right now.

This Earth Day, we challenge ourselves and others striving for a sustainable future (which should be all) to be brave by critically examining how we do business, show culture, and show up in this world.

One reminder we constantly share with our clients is to update their websites. It is one of the smartest and most cost-effective marketing tools in your toolbox, especially if you are a small business. It's also often the first place people go to learn more about your organization, and that experience says a lot about your brand.

Websites that are not updated regularly get stale quickly, and that's not good for business or engagement.

❌ Stale websites don't attract new buyers or give much reason for existing customers to return.

❌ Google prefers sites that stay up-to-date. Stale sites don't perform well on search, which means people looking for what you won't find you as quickly as they will your competitors.

❌ Information gets old. If you're growing, listening, learning and regularly adapting to serve your customers and community better, and your content does not reflect that, don't be surprised if 'old and outdated' are how people perceive your brand.

Don't fuss over perfection. Make changes that get you closer to greatness to keep your website relevant and informative for your target audiences.

That's what we've done. Take a look (link in bio).

Not a stunt.

Synthetic fabrics like Polyester have microfibers similar to plastic that end up in our oceans when we wash our clothes. We’re talking a million trillion microfibers causing ocean pollution, hurting marine life, and compromising our food system.

Bringing the conversation about ocean health and sustainable fashion to one of the most significant sporting events in the world () is a big deal.

The tennis court was placed on a working barge and is going to Townsville, where it will support youth sports initiatives. From our vantage point, this ain't no PR stunt. It's part of a coordinated effort to bring plastic pollution to the forefront in an industry that creates a lot of plastic waste through fashion, sports goods and events.

In addition to this floating barge, made entirely of recycled plastic, the new Adidas tennis apparel collection spotted by players at the Australian Open also consists of products from Made with Parley Ocean Plastic.

Hopefully, this sparks more conversations, research, and reform to reduce the use of polyester and other synthetic materials in Tennis and find sustainable ways to create uniforms and equipment for all without hurting the planet.

Organizations shouldn't wait for a movement to start or a competitor to stumble to get into gear to show their public what values drive their work and leadership.

According to our founder, Namrata Narayan, brands must continuously create moments to show their values at work to build trust and connection.

These initiatives go beyond the product and services you provide.
