I could write a novel but I’ll go with this. Today was everything we worked so hard for, dreamed of and hoped it would be. And also a huge reminder that life is precious so always always alwayssss lead with gratitude.
Here are 10 things I learned working with The over the last 6 months…
1. A helicopter golf ball drop is always a good idea and never fails to be epic.
2. It never gets old seeing your people show up year after year to support a cause they believe in.
3. Parents will never, ever stop fighting for their children.
4. The strongest communities are built long before an event day arrives.
5. Every sponsor, donor, volunteer, golfer, and dinner guest matters more than they realize.
6. The most meaningful work happens when people care more about impact than recognition.
7. Hope has a way of bringing together complete strangers and turning them into family.
8. Behind every smiling survivor photo is a story no family ever wants to live through, which is why the question is never, “How much did we raise?” It’s always, “How do we raise more?”
9. The best events are not measured by attendance but by the lives they help change.
10. An amazing event is the sum of so many parts, countless people, endless moving pieces, and a whole lot of heart.
More to come but tonight we all go to bed grateful.
