Today, I attended the luncheon, where spoke about how important it is to have a method to your marketing. Insightful presentation!

⭐️ Bonus 1: Executive Director of the was there, who just happens to be my brilliant cousin. BTW they just broke ground on the new facility to be completed Spring 2024!

⭐️ Bonus 2: My good friend and talented former colleague with (where they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary) was there!

⭐️ Bonus 3: Brittany gifted me her raffle prize (since she’s not a resident) — this cool book celebrating 200th year!

Tonight, allowed me the opportunity to attend the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana The Power of Women event, where Meghan Markle so eloquently and relatably talked with us about being true to ourselves, supporting our community of sisters and being courageous. Sandy Sasso was a thoughtful and witty moderator.

What a fun honor to enjoy this experience with coworkers and new friends! I’ll certainly remember the Duchess’ wisdom for many years to come.

Today, I attended DEI University hosted by Indy at . was a sponsor of the event, and I met some wonderful people. More than anything, though, I came away learning and furthering the discussion on inclusion.

One of my favorite takeaways is that resistance is a good part of change work — you have to meet it and use the resistance as a tool for learning.

Also, a favorite quote of the day, “no one likes change but a wet baby.” Ha!

Thankful for today’s opportunity.

Last week, I had the honor of taking this lady out for a belated birthday lunch. have been together through thicker and thin for 12 years! So incredibly thankful to have Erin in my world each and every year. She continues to be one of my biggest cheerleaders and inspiration. Cheers to another year! 🥂🎉

My grandma Nan (93) has always said, “you have to use it or you’ll lose it.” She’s been phenomenal at keeping her mind and body sharp — you’ll often find her working in the yard or reading the newspaper.

When I told someone I was attending today’s Leadership Summit, they lovingly replied, “aren’t you a little old for that?” 😲To which I pointed out the following:

1️⃣ Technically, no, I may be close to aging out of such events, but the guidelines say under 40.

2️⃣ Although I may be more seasoned than some, you’re never too old to learn and connect with others!

3️⃣ So many continuous education events are geared toward newer professionals; however, it’s incredibly important to keep our minds sharp and our networks open at any level in our career.

With that said, today’s event was enlightening. I met new, eager folks, learned about myself and shared ideas. I’d say that it was a hit.
