I don't know if I will ever be able to make this shop a reality due to my primary career, but I do enjoy engaging in the medium whenever I can! Here's my latest:

Life has been SO. CRAZY. it's been a lifetime (over a year) since I've last dusted off Wheelie Nelson (my Lendrum) and Navajo chain-plied this drop-spindle spun single. Base wool = Manx Loaghtan (chocolate brown natural color) that I blended with dyed Merino wool and pulled Sari fibers. A muted amount of "Teardrop Illusion" crystal glitz thrown in there because... SPARKLES!!! ✨✨✨ (though the sparkles are being camera shy)

I really like how it came out!
Just need to wash, dry, then... ready for fall! 🍁 🍃🍂

Note on Manx Loaghtan, the breed:
Craft spinners and weavers like the wool for its softness and rich brown colour. The crafters use the undyed material to produce woollens and tweeds. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust has characterised the Loaghtan as "at risk". By the 1950s there were only 43 surviving specimens. Manx National Heritage developed two healthy flocks. These have given rise to commercial flocks on the Isle of Man, United Kingdom and Jersey. Even so, today there are still fewer than 1,500 registered breeding females.

The *POWER* of the ***yhatproject! Already 12 requests in! Keep 'em coming, folks!!! I promise I will get to them as quickly as possible! I'll be extending this offer for the next 4 years! (No, not kidding.)

I know it has been a long time ( ) BUT this is the latest from me. I've made 3 p***y hats this week (this one and 2 others) to support the Women's March on Denver. Unfortunately, I will *not* be able to attend the march. However, after some thinking, as a continued service in solidarity to our cause, I am offering at-cost/free labor p***y cat hats for anyone interested!

Two conditions:
1.) *Your hat will be "free" if you provide me your yarn of choice (while pink is the movement's recommended color, I believe that the p***y cat hat is a mindset, not an object). Your hat will be "at-cost" for yarn and/or shipping should that be easiest for you! LABOR COSTS ARE FREE! This is my SERVICE to you!
2.) There are no expectations for a firm turnover time. (It takes me about 4-5 hours to make one, but with grad school and work, I can't promise to have them ready the next day.) HOWEVER you *WILL* get your hat back ASAP! (and grad school will be done by 2/20! making the turnaround time quicker)

Please share with all of the nasty women and bad hombres in your life who might be interested!

Even with the march being over today, the movement goes on. If you are interested in participating in the donation of your time to help me make these hats OR would like to learn how I make one, please let me know!

Just some things I've been up to in my very little spare time. Unfortunately I have dropped the ball on updating this page since my work life has been so busy lately, THANK YOU for continuing to stop by the page and check things out! Christmas is coming up, so I should have more pics to post soon! I'm also taking orders for Christmas now so I can be sure I have time to get your item finished in time. 😊 Orders for Christmas will close Nov. 6!
