🧠AI didn’t cause PR’s most recent credibility problem. Speed did.

In Unite.ai, Tim Gray, Senior PR Advisor at Intelligent Relations, explains why moving faster isn’t the same as getting smarter.

PR’s trust gap widens when speed replaces judgment. Credibility comes from slowing down, verifying, and keeping humans in the loop.

A recent Unite.ai piece examined how AI has transformed PR research – making it faster to collect data, spot trends, and produce media-ready findings, but also harder to guarantee accuracy and trust. That observation captures a real tension in the industry, and it deserves a deeper look. The probl...

Yesterday in London, we joined an inspiring community of changemakers committed to protecting children in Colombia.

Children Change Colombia is doing vital work to safeguard the rights of children who are most at risk, supporting local organizations that create real, lasting change. At their October 14 event, stories from the field reminded us why this mission matters and why this work must continue.

Our own Maria Camila Ortiz was proud to represent Intelligent Relations and share in an evening of powerful conversations and purpose-driven connection.

We’re honored to support this organization and look forward to deepening our partnership to help amplify the voices of Colombia’s youth and those who defend them.

Another media win powered by Preston. šŸŽ¬āœØ

The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) was featured in Realscreen for its powerful tribute to Robert Redford’s legacy as a champion of independent and documentary film.

In the piece, AmDocs founder Teddy Grouya reflects on how Redford’s work, from founding Sundance to launching The Redford Center, paved the way for festivals like AmDocs to spotlight urgent, authentic storytelling from around the world. AmDocs' upcoming festival in Sitka, Alaska will continue the mission from October 10-12, when some of the great films from AmDocs 2025 will screen in this beautiful island community once known as the ā€œParis of the Pacific."

Here's the thing: this kind of visibility for mission-driven storytelling doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intention, timing, and the right team and technology behind the scenes. That is worth celebrating.

Let’s keep championing the stories that move people.

Our Co-Founder at Intelligent Relations, Stamatis Astra, recently got to share his perspective in PR News on one of the most pressing shifts in the industry: consolidation.

With agencies merging, budgets tightening, and technology reshaping expectations, many companies are bringing more PR functions in-house. Stamatis explores why in-house teams now need to operate like agencies themselves, balancing strategy and ex*****on, while adapting to faster cycles and higher stakes.

From AI-enabled workflows to newsroom-style operations, the line between ā€œagencyā€ and ā€œin-houseā€ is blurring faster than ever.

Read the full article here: https://www.prnewsonline.com/pr-consolidation-is-forcing-in-house-teams-to-become-the-agency/

As consolidation reduces the number of PR agency partners and rising costs make retainers tougher to swallow, in-house teams are evolving.

AI search is changing how people discover brands.

Tools like ChatGPT now handle 1 in 20 U.S. desktop searches, and the chatbots typically don’t source from your blogs or owned content. They surface the brands most often mentioned in trusted outlets like earned media.

That’s where Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) comes in. Unlike SEO, which fights for Google rankings, GEO ensures your brand is visible in the places AI is actually trained to pull from.

šŸ“Œ For startups and big brands alike, the growing focus on AI search makes PR more essential than ever. If you want AI to find you, your story needs to live in credible coverage.

So your last press release looked good on paper but failed to generate any media attention.

Why?

😶 The release was too generic and there was nothing that stood out
šŸ”Ž You pitched the wrong journalist for the story
šŸ—‚ļø Your list was too broad and not targeted enough

That’s the problem with PR done the old way.

šŸ‘‰ Preston changes that. It gives you the writing tools and connects you with real-time data on what journalists are actually covering so your pitch lands where the interest already is.

Smarter targeting. Better results.

Amid tariff uncertainty, many companies are looking to cut costs. And PR is often the first thing to go.

But ask yourself: What are you risking with no PR?

In uncertain times, visibility and trust matter more than ever. If your brand isn’t showing up in the outlets that your audience already relies on, your competitors will.

Smart PR is all about building presence through credible articles, interviews, podcasts, and other types of earned media.

Remember: cutting PR might save dollars now, but it will cost you market share later.

Keep showing up.

Paying for an ad doesn't necessarily gain you an audience. People are already getting too many ads from too many channels to even notice yours. That's ad fatigue.

But when a journalist investigates your story, asks the tough questions, and still decides it’s worth publishing, that’s earned media people pay attention to.

The difference? Trust. One is rented attention. The other is credibility that lasts.

That's the value of strong PR. šŸ‘‰ https://intelligentrelations.com/booking/
