A few pics from this weekend's golf outing. My team's theme was "Redneck."

Had a blast and it was a heck of a way to end my tenure of running the annual Pline Golf Outing. Thank you to everyone who showed up, helped out, and celebrated!

Things I learned this year:

1) The Cigar Holder is the absolute best golf accessory on the market. The magnet is also as strong as they advertise. 10/10 recommend.

2) Golf is fun. But, golf is more fun when you're with people that care more about drinking beer, dressing up, and spending time together than about the score.

3) A simple "I ❤️ Hot Moms" flag will earn you more friends on a golf course than anything else.

Went out of my way to make a Negroni for the first time.

As a Rum and Whiskey kind of guy, it is a change of pace...but a GREAT change of pace.

10/10 recommend - especially a summertime drink.

It has been 3 weeks since I last ran...having a newborn changed up the routine.

But, I am back at it. My goal for my "first run back" was to beat 50 minutes (my first time I had when I started running a couple months ago). I am happy to say that I did it - but not by much!

Did I run the whole thing? No way. Just about 2.75 miles, the other 1.25 miles was walking.

This post isn't to brag, but to hold myself accountable and show that any of us can do this. Don't feel like you have to have a sub 8 minute mile to get started. I sure don't have that, yet.

My pace for the miles I ran was about 9 minutes, 40 seconds. Also, don't feel like you aren't allowed to walk.

The main goal for those of us getting started is to just get better than last time.

Huge thank you to the for the Lansing Lugnuts tickets.

Had an absolute blast with family and appreciate that you guys are the reason we were able to go.

Also, for everyone else: they are just as good at handling your insurance needs as they are at being solid friends, 10/10 recommend them.
