I normally don't push my YouTube videos a lot, but I'm going to make an exception with this one, for good reason:
The greatest scammers are the ones who make you believe that *someone else* is scamming you.
Please share.
There is a video by a guy named MegaLag that went viral that calls Enchroma Glasses a scam.
Its a classic example of someone who edits well, and tells a good story (with scientific research papers to back it up!), and who is horribly, horribly wrong.
Now before you believe I'm anti-science, or anti-research paper, you need to watch my video. I swear to you, its worth your time.
If you don't want to watch the full thing, but you want to know if I have any basis for criticizing the research paper's he uses? Go to 12:34 of the video, and watch me debunk what Megalag says about a "pro Enchroma" study, vs one that is critical of Enchroma.
My hope is that once you watch this video, you'll share it with someone so that they aren't duped into believing that Enchroma Glasses are a scam.
I honestly doubted Enchroma Glasses when I first saw videos about them. Using a filter to gain more color information seemed contrary to everything I understood about color. But the more I understood about how they work, it legitimately turned my understanding of color on its head.
Which is annoying, since that's like, my day job.
If you ever looked at a white and gold dress a while back, and someone told you that it was blue and black? This video is for you. If you were the person insisting it was blue and black, while someone told you it was white and gold? This video is for you.
If you ever argued with someone over whether a wall was orange or red?
Color is not black and white.
The more you grasp about the way we process color, the more you'll marvel at the fact that we see at least a million of them.
If you grasp why UV filters make for better color images on film, but don't understand Enchroma glasses, this is for you.
This video is about those miraculous things that you're using right now to read this, and how every second of every day, your brain is doing billions of calculations that would embarrass the greatest graphics card that we have on the market to show us a world in color.
Please share.
Enchroma glasses have fallen under heavy criticism by fellow YouTuber MegaLag, who considers them a scam.In this video, I explain to you how they *do* work, ...
